Big 4 in Photos

Yes, I went to the Big 4 show in Indio, CA. Yes, it was an amazing time. Metallica show #49 for me. Yes it's a bit of a low number. I weep at that. LOL I purchased the VIP tickets and was "impressed" by the poshness of the lounge area. We had a water feature. Yes, at a metal show there was a lovely water feature that would make Alan Titchmarch proud. I also availed myself of the sofas. Yes,

Orion from Indio, CA's Big4 show!!!

Hard to pick the best song of the night. But I'm choosing ORION just because I played it for my bass jury in college and got a B. Rob is much much better! LOL

Big 4 in Theatres

The premise is not a new one. The kiddie bands and even Duran Duran and Green Day have done it. A one off event: Play a live concert in a movie theatre. Big Screen. Surround Sound. Dolby. It's not as if we headbangers haven't done something similar. On the small screen of course. A nice long weekend. Plenty of food and drink. Someone's TV - the bigger the better. And many many DVDs. Bootleg live

Costa Rica Day 10

My mate T totally called me out on her vlog. LOL Other than the video of the flat, I hadn't blogged about life in Costa Rica. She wanted to know what it was like living here. I must admit. I've been busy and lazy. A strange mix. I made my escape from the UAE on January 13th. I was supposed to leave on the 12th, but a mechanical problem with the plane delayed take off for 24 hours. I headed strait

Three years in the making, this cinéma-vérité feature from acclaimed filmmaker Joe Berlinger (Brother’s Keeper, Paradise Lost, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster) is the epic story of one of the largest and most controversial environmental lawsuits on the planet. The inside story of the infamous “Amazon Chernobyl” case, Crude is a real-life high stakes legal drama, set against a backdrop of the

Three out of Five Metallica shows can't be wrong...

Show Number 1OMG!!! The show was aces! The forum is really tiny. Ten thousand people tiny. Doors were at 1730 and we went in at 1840 hours. Show starts at 1900 hours. We were no where near the rail. I was obsessed about being in front of Rob's bass cabinets. LOL It's "my spot"!!! Mastadon were ok. Like 70s power metal sludge. At the break, we shimmied forward. I told my mate as soon as Lamb of

And Jersey For All BBQ

Another great AJFA event! They always are, but of course, each one is special. This year Harold hosted the BBQ. This was not an ordinary BBQ. When I walked in Nick, Taran, and Jay were taking the shells off of shrimp. They had about three pounds of shrimp. I"m like, how are you going to put that on a BBQ??? Not to worry. Harold smiled and held up the bacon! I knew I was in for a treat! I watched

Ok - this is a nice long blog about January 2009. I hope you are comfy and have a nice cup of coffee. Or sweet tea. Yesh, my brother in law made some sweet tea today and I've inhaled a nice tall glass of it. This blog has it all: intrigue, sex, music, muse, bacon, chocolate, wickedness, and cream filled danish.
